Dryer Vent Cleaning

Advanced Chimney Cleaning specializes in dryer vent cleaning to remove lint, small articles of clothing, and even bird nests from dryer vents. Schedule a dryer vent cleaning today to save energy, extend the life of your dryer, and potentially prevent a fire.
Lint in the dryer is one of the biggest fire hazards in a home. Along with being dangerous, lint buildup in the dryer vent increases drying time and puts additional wear and tear on the dryer. The dryer also runs at a high temperature. While it has a limit safety switch to prevent the dryer from running too hot, this switch can wear out, especially if there is low air flow. If your dryer is turning on and off in the middle of the cycle, consider getting your dryer vent cleaned and inspected by our skilled, dryer vent technicians.

Benefits of a Clean Dryer Vent

Having your dryer vent cleaned regularly will also give you peace of mind. Dryer lint is highly flammable and can ignite at any moment. Don’t be one of the victims of a dryer vent fire. Sleep better knowing that last load in the dryer will be awaiting you in the morning and not burning down your house as you slumber.

dryer vent cleaning will not leave a mess in your home

There are several indicators that you may have a clogged or blocked dryer vent in need of cleaning:

  • Is your laundry room located inside of your home?
  • Does your clothes dryer heat up to excessive temperatures?
  • Are your clothes taking longer to get dry?
  • Is there always an accumulation of lint in the laundry room no matter how many times you clean the lint trap?
  • Do you smell something burning while your clothes are drying?

How the Dryer Vent is Cleaned

Advanced Chimney Cleaning uses an airflow meter to test temperature and air flow before and after the cleaning. We use specialized tools designed specifically for cleaning the vent from one end to the other. We utilize a rotory brush a long, flexible rods. This brush spins via drill motor, cleaning the walls of the duct gently, yet completely. Air pressure from the inside will push the lint outdoors, where we collect and dispose of the lint. Do not be misled by the do-it-yourself kits found in big box stores.

Dryer Vent Re-routing

Advanced Chimney Cleaning offers dryer vent re-routing for customers who want to have their dryer vent exit at another part of the home for reasons such as safety concerns. For example, there are some cases where the exhaust is going into an attic, basement or crawl space due to bad design or a tear in the duct. Rerouting the dryer vent hose requires closing the previous vent opening, thus creating a new opening and moving the dryer vent pipe to the new area.
